Macarthur Community Cabinet

The Macarthur Community Cabinet was held on 19 May 2009.

The Premier and Ministers met with the community at a public forum and meetings and dicussed local issues including transport and roads.

Outcomes of the Community Cabinet

The NSW Government has responded to community issues, announcing the outcomes of the Community Cabinet:

  • Picton Easy Access Upgrade will begin six months ahead of schedule in response to the community's need for the project
  • Local bus services will be extended, with three new bus services for the area
  • The NSW government has committed $104 million over four years towards the upgrade of Camden Valley Way.
  • Camden Council has worked with NSW police on the design of the new $16.9 million Narellan Police Station to respond to heritage issues raised.
  • Changes have been made to the reporting of vandalism and graffiti to the Police Assistance Line.
