Central Coast Community Cabinet
The Central Coast Community Cabinet was held in Toukley on 3 November 2008. The Premier announced support for Pacific Highway improvements at Ourimbah, an employment hub at Wyong and a new commuter car park at Wyong Railway Station.
The Premier, along with the Minister for the Central Coast, John Della Bosca and local representatives held a public forum and meetings with community groups.
“The Central Coast has good local representatives who are working hard to ensure the issues facing families in the region are high on the Government’s agenda,” he said.

Pacific Highway improvements
Improvements to the Pacific Highway at Ourimbah were approved.
Warnervale Town Centre and Wyong Employment Zone
Two new employment precincts were approved in response to a growing need for local employment.
7000 new jobs and $1.9 billion of new investment are expected to be generated for the area. 119 hectares of land will be rezoned for residential, retail, commercial, environmental conservation, open space, school and railway use.
The Warnervale Town Centre will service 40,000 residents, provide 2,200 new homes to house up to 6,000 residents and create 1,000 local jobs. A new railway station at North Warnervale and a civic square will be developed.
The Wyong Employment Zone will provide warehousing, distribution and manufacturing sites, an automotive precinct and water reuse and stormwater infrastructure. 346 hectares will be set aside as conservation areas and wildlife corridors.
Wyong Railway Station commuter carpark
A new commuter car park for Wyong Station was approved in response to a growing need for more parking.
The facility will support local commuters to access public transport. A site will be selected for development with construction expected by end 2009 and use by commuters in 2010.
