Biography
Kristina Keneally MP is the Member for Heffron in the NSW Parliament and the Minister for Planning and Minister for Redfern Waterloo in the Rees Government. She was previously the Minister for Ageing and Minister for Disability Services.
Prior to her election in to Parliament in 2003 she was a stay-at-home mum to her sons Daniel and Brendan and active in several community organisations in the South Sydney and Botany Bay area.
Kristina’s three passions in life are social justice, the importance of community and living life with energy and enthusiasm. Before having children she worked as the State Youth Co-ordinator for the NSW Society of St. Vincent de Paul and taught primary school in a ‘teacher shortage area’ in rural New Mexico. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Hons) in 1991 and a Master of Arts in Religious Studies in 1995.
