Premier unveils new Cabinet

Premier Nathan Rees today unveiled his new cabinet.

“I have made changes with one thing in mind – to deliver better services for the people of NSW,” said Mr Rees.

The new Cabinet“Ten Ministers will take on increased duties.

“I am proud to now include the Central Coast as one of my portfolios and announce Carmel Tebbutt will be our new health Minister.

“With Carmel’s distinguished record as a senior Minister, she is the best choice for one of the most difficult portfolios in Government.

Key changes include:

David Campbell will now be responsible for a combined Transport and Roads portfolio, assisted by David Borger as Minister Assisting

Michael Daley becomes the new Police Minister and John Robertson will add Climate Change, Environment and Energy to his portfolios

“I have made it clear to my team that we’re going to work harder and cover more ground,” said Mr Rees.

The Premier will recommend to the Governor the appointment of the cabinet as follows:
