PLANNING APPROVAL LODGED FOR NORTH WEST RAIL LINK
The NSW Government today announced documents would be lodged with the Department of Planning for approval of the North West Rail Link, including eight stations and an extra 1000 commuter car parks, NSW Premier and Minister for Western Sydney Barry O’Farrell and Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian said.

POLICE GETTING RESULTS IN ORGANISED CRIME CRACKDOWN
NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell and Minister for Police and Emergency Services Mike Gallacher today revealed the NSW Police Force has laid nearly 4,500 charges and arrested nearly 1,000 individuals in crackdowns targeting organised crime and outlaw motorcycle gangs.

NORTHERN SYDNEY FREIGHT CORRIDOR LOCKED IN
Following the signing of a historic intergovernmental agreement, work will start in February on the next stage in the modernisation of the Interstate Rail Network, a $1.1 billion project which will speed up the movement of trains through Sydney, take up to 200,000 trucks a year off its roads and improve the reliability of passenger trains.
