About Cybermarvel
The Cybermarvel program is a joint initiative of the NSW, VIC, TAS, ACT, SA and NT education departments. It takes direction from theeSafety Commissioner’s Best Practice Framework for online safety education. It aims to:
- build staff and students’ cyber safety awareness and skills
- inform parents and carers how to keep their family safe online
- encourage safe and positive online behaviours and experiences.
Major partners include the eSafety Commissioner, Grok Academy, Inform and Empower, Cyber Safety Project, Microsoft, Google, Palo Alto Networks, Amazon Web Services and Lisa Rothfield-Kirschner.
It celebrates Safer Internet Day in February and Cyber Security Awareness Month in October. We encourage schools to promote online safety learning throughout the year.
Cybermarvel has already connected with 120,000 students and more than 3,300 staff and parents across Australia, guiding them to be safe, responsible and respectful online citizens.
